Mitzi Ziegner for LISD Board of Trustees, At-Large

For Mitzi Ziegner, education is personal, professional, and lifelong. That’s why she is running for the LISD Board of Trustees, At-Large.

This race is about competence and the future of our school district. Mitzi brings decades of real education experience to the table, not ideology and not just talking points.

She is the daughter of a public educator and a former Lubbock ISD classroom teacher. She is running because governing a school district requires judgment, discipline, and experience, not guesswork.

About Mitzi

Mitzi and her husband, Jonathan, have lived and worked in Lubbock for more than 30 years. Their children are graduates of Lubbock ISD.

Mitzi is the daughter of a public school educator, a former LISD classroom teacher and has 25 years of experience in higher education teaching and leadership. She takes public education personally.

Why She Is Running

School board service is serious work.

Trustees set priorities,
Support teachers,
Protect students,
and shape outcomes.

Mitzi Ziegner is running to
bring disciplined, experienced
leadership to the LISD Board
of Trustees.

Experience That Matters

This job requires experience.

Mitzi Ziegner is not new to public education. She has dedicated her career to it.

This perspective matters. Mitzi understands classrooms, curriculum, and governance because she has lived all three.

Lubbock ISD Leadership

Experience. Judgement. Results.

She knows how decisions at the board level show up in the classroom.
